Face Recognition, Pareidolia : A face in the clouds

Face recognition is the ability to recognize faces. Sometimes our brain tends to see faces in alot of things. An interesting psychological phenomenon called "Pareidolia". The brain can see/find faces in anything. Pareidolia is perceiving a vague stimulus (a tree,cloud) as specific one (a face, a person, a word, etc).

A new online test for depression!

PredictD. A new online test developed by doctors at University College London (UCL) to measure your risk of depression.

ScienceDaily.com said that a special algorithm can be used to discover the liability of depression.

Professor Michael King, UCL Department of Mental Health Sciences, says: “Depression is a common problem throughout the world, but although we know how to treat it, we know very little about how to prevent its onset. We have ways of predicting the onset of heart disease or stroke, but none for predicting people’s risk of major depression. Our study is one of the first to develop a risk algorithm for just this purpose.”
